During the day you must contain your flock of sheep by keeping them from wandering off the screen. How many sheep you have left at the end of the day determines how much money you make.

At the end of the day it is up to you to decide how to spend that money.  Do you buy more sheep? Do you build a fence?  Do you refill the pantry?

It all depends on you.

Great game, I loved it! A great combination of what is essentially a management, action and narrative game all at once!

Just to be sure, sacrificing 10 sheets to Satan stops the zombies from popping is that it?

I love this game, though it does get a bit hard to herd the sheep in once they hit the border of the map. HIC has a deep meaning and story is amazing.

Also the game art is really good, its simple and yet theres so much detail.

I don´t know why but everytime I buy a fence doesn't work. I mean the bug or problem is that I have to buy the fence 4 times just to appear once. The game is beautiful but the best strategy to survive is the more monotone and boring one. By that I mean not buying sheeps, not buying fence, not buyin anythin. Buying one sheep is just good if you dont lose other sheep in 5 rounds or days. So the best way to survive without finality is just making the possible to not lose sheeps and hold the more days possible saving money just eating the minimum. One run time is fine but it goes monotone. Open the gate and awaken the dead has no end but to make the game more difficult and it has nothing to do with the story. I know that because after 12 rounds just saving money and not buying anything I've reached 100 coins I spent 45 just to one fence and that is frustrating. Even after that I had enough money to open the gate sacrifice 10 sheeps and thats it all done just again at the beginning with less money. Conclusion: The game is hugely beautiful, really is and I apreciate the effort. But buying sheeps and taking the risk of losing it before 5 days doesn't worth it, the same goes with the fence, apart of costing too much you have to buy 4 just to get one, and the low part of the house not even mentioning. If the gate is open and you don't have at least 30 coins saved you dead.

ideas for things to buy, a whistle, usable once per day and pulls all the sheep towards you, metal wall, which lasts forever, dog, which is an ai controlled sheep herder, you can make the ai as stupid as you like :)

Dude, this game. It hits so hard and deep. I'm only 22, but I can recognize that the implications this game presents are so important. It's about being able to provide to your loved one, maintaining a stable income whilst balancing the budget for emergencies, self care, maturity, responsibility, independence. I mean, damn, this game made me feel so much for the character in only a matter of seconds after realizing the consequences the game play is centered upon. What an unbelievably relatable human experience.

And the title, oh man, that title. Beautifully encapsulates the themes in a fantastical vocabulary that ALSO encapsulates the practically fantastical task of being a provider for yourself as well as for another.

Outstandingly designed game. 

We cannot say thank you enough, we are so happy that our game resonated with you in such a way, and that you picked up on exactly what we were going for. It was only a 2day game jam game, but we put a lot of thought and intention into it.

this is quite nice, i'll have to sit down and play it much longer ~ 


i keep playing this. i know there's no big twist or new mechanic or anything waiting for me after this round but i keep playing it. it's so simple and calm and lovely ... even if my sheep are more a danger to themselves than any potential predator ...

the music, by the way, is GORGEOUS. was it made by the team? it's incredible! i keep leaving the tab open just to listen to it; it sort of has that sims 1 build mode vibe to it
